Why I Built ElSherrill.com (And What You’ll Find Here)

Every website has a purpose. Some are built to sell, others to teach, and some just to entertain. For me, ElSherrill.com is personal. It’s not just another domain in my publishing network, it’s my home base, my digital front porch, and the place where I can tell my story in my own words.

I built this site for three reasons: to share my journey, to pass on lessons learned, and to build a platform that proves reinvention is always possible no matter what life throws at you.

My Story in Brief

For more than 25 years, I worked as an ASE Master Certified Technician and Fleet Manager. I ran shops for national carriers, municipal fleets, and corporate logistics. I’ve overseen teams of 62 technicians, handled thousands of monthly repairs, and kept fleets compliant with DOT, OSHA, and EPA standards.

Then came the hardest challenge of my life: diabetes. Losing both of my legs meant I could no longer live the life I’d built in the shop bays. That could’ve been the end of my career. Instead, it became the beginning of something new.

I pivoted to the digital front, founding MTDLN Media. Today, I run a network of 28+ publishing and affiliate sites, managing teams, contracts, and content calendars the same way I once managed wrenches, schedules, and compliance reports.

Why This Site Exists

So why this site, and why now?

  1. To tell my story in full. Not as a résumé or a press release, but as the real-life story of grit, setbacks, reinvention, and persistence.

  2. To share lessons that transfer. The same leadership principles that kept fleets rolling systems, discipline, documentation, adaptability do work in digital business too.

  3. To build a personal brand that outlives me. Companies rise and fall. But stories, lessons, and legacy? Those stick around.

What You’ll Find Here

ElSherrill.com isn’t just about me, it’s about the people who stop by. Here’s what you can expect:

  • Personal Stories: Moments from my career, both in the shop and online, that taught me something worth sharing.

  • Leadership Lessons: Straightforward takeaways from managing fleets and digital teams.

  • Entrepreneurship Insights: How to pivot, adapt, and build something lasting.

  • Digital Publishing Tips: From SEO to affiliate strategies, the systems I use to run MTDLN Media Group.

  • Resilience and Reinvention: Proof that when life knocks you down even as hard as losing your legs you can still build something meaningful.

Who This Site Is For

  • Technicians and Fleet Folks: If you’ve ever pulled a wrench or sat through a safety meeting, you’ll find stories here that hit home.

  • Entrepreneurs and Creators: If you’re building online, I’ll share what works, what doesn’t, and how to keep momentum.

  • Anyone Facing Change: If you’re staring down a pivot of your career, health, or otherwise, this is proof you’re not alone.

ElSherrill.com is where I connect the dots. From grease-stained bays to digital dashboards, from breakdown calls to brand-building, this is the one place I can put it all together.

If you take one thing from this site, I hope it’s this: no matter what breaks in your life, there’s always a way to rebuild.
